Introductions - New users say hi!
Welcome to the Gamer's Haven forums! Feel free to use this thread to introduce (or reintroduce) yourself to our community!
My name is Ed and I am the Manager for the store. I have been around a long time as a customer as well as an employee. I play a little bit of everything, and none as much as I would like. I love the miniatures hobby, and can often be found playing miniatures, board, and roleplaying games. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me and we will do what we can to get you sorted out.

Re-introducing myself here...
My name is Greg and I play mostly miniatures games: Dystopian Wars, Dystopian Legions, Halo: Fleet Battles, Halo: Ground Command, DeepWars, and a little bit of X-Wing. Always happy to run demo games for any of the above.
Dystopian Wars: Federated States of America, Republique of France, Chinese Federation

Avid for Guildball currently. Vanguard for Spartan Games - always willing to demo. I need to get back to some Malifaux. Starting forces for Age of Sigmar and 40K 8E while hoping to get the old GW groove back. Hoping to recruit players for Arena Rex and Runewars. On sabbatical from Warmachine, but still willing to teach. Love the DC Deckbuilder system from Cryptozoic. Likely to go berserk for the new FFG version of L5R. Hoping I can start up some Marvel or DC games using the Knight Minis system or Supersystem! . And I love lots and lots of boardgames.
Yes, I play too many things, but not enough.
There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them.

My name is Dave, and I'm a miniatures addict with an awkward combo of ADD and OCD.
I stick to skirmish-sized miniature games, with Infinity, SAGA, and the Batman Miniature Game being my current jam. I'm always happy to demo BMG and Infinity, but there are much better players at the shop for SAGA demos. There are a couple smaller indie games are in the collection too, a favorite being RelicBlade. A personal rule is to only put painted models on the table, which means I do a ton more adult-coloring-in-the-lines (can't really call it painting) than playing. I try to make it out for hobby night on Wednesdays. I've also mostly painted the Zombicide: Black Plague Kickstarter, an extended family favorite (turns my wife's 96 year old grandmother into a zombie killing machine). Some FFG rounds out the collection, though X-Wing and IA are mostly ignored now, they are what got me into the hobby about two years ago.
Infinity: Caledonia, Steel Phalanx
BMG: Batman, Green Arrow, Law, Bane, Leto Joker, Suicide Squad
SAGA: Anglo-Danes, Anglo-Saxons (Almost...), Vikings
X-Wing: Standard/Epic (Wave 8)
Misc: RelicBlade, Relic Knights, Zombicide, Imperial Assault (Wave 2)
Reintroducing myself. Name is Josh and while I'm not local, I stop by every 6-12 months for binge gaming with my old group.
I'm into FoW/TY, SW:Armada, 30k/40k, and I've got minis for the Spartan Halo games. I also RP, preferably Dark Heresy/Only War and the FFG Star Wars series.
Looking forward to getting back to C-Springs this winter for my annual trek of gaming debauchery!
"And should the Machine Spirit still fail to be roused, strikest it with the blessed hammer, not once, not twice, but thrice. Repeating the holy chant, "START YOU BASTARD START", Blessed is the machine."
FoW: USA, Germans (WWI & II)
Team Yankee: Soviets, USA
30k: Solar Auxilia, Imperial Fists, Mechanicum, and Legio Custodes
40k: Farsight Tau, AdMech
SW-Armada: Imperials and Rebels
Halo Fleet Battles: UNSC and Covenant
Halo Ground Command: Covenant
Hello my name is Scott and I am an addict. I started playing with plastic crack three or four years ago. It quickly led me down a path where I was playing 30K to 40K every week. Now in the vast emptiness of my wallet there is only dust. My wife and youngest son lay home on Friday nights wondering if I will return at all. The shame I feel is only compounded by my oldest son's addiction to the same drug I introduced so long ago. I have only one pounding thought. I must play!
Tom here, checking in after a looong absence. Trying to make more time to play with the models I've been painting.
Enjoy: Dystopian Wars (Cov of A), Firestorm Armada (Sorylian), 40K (Necrons & Ad Mech), Malifaux (Guild), X-Wing, Armada, Attack Wing, Netrunner, Star Wars LCG, and most boradgames.
Looking to start Guildball (just finished my Fishermen starter), Warma/Hordes (been sitting on completed Cryx & Circle starter boxes for a year), slowly working on a 101st Airborne Bolt-Action unit, and I may or may not have recently purchased a Brayherd Hero model for AoS.
Denis here. I have just moved in to Spokane and I am looking to get back into 40k. I have a huge Ork army and I would like to find willing victims for casual but regular dice-throwing.
I also played Flames of War and may be interested in that. If anyone heard of Harn RPG, this is a game I am extremely familiar with and would love to find like-minded people. Does anyone speak Russian here? This is my native language, it would be great to find new friends.
Fellow addict, do you play 40k regularly now? Would you like to? I am looking to dedicate Sunday morning or two to the game and I am looking for a partner. I have wife and family too, so no chance for casual 40K encounters, things have to be planned well in advance. I have Orks, fully painted, we could start with 1500 or more if you like.
Hey all, long time Haven player. I play mostly Battletech: Classic and Alpha Strike.
Let me know if your interested in some demos, if not I will see you around some fridays and saturday afternoon.
"So there I was, between a rock and a hard place, when I thought 'What am I doing on this side of the rock?' -Star Commander Karra, Clan Ghost Bear
"Congratulations, Cadet you have successfully demonstrated the ability to do what I tell you to. I like that. My dog does what I tell her to. I like my dog. I should introduce you to each other. Remind me to do that." Mechwarrior 2: Drill Instructor.
My name is Rick, I live in Black Forest, and have been in Colorado Springs for 15 years. I build scale models for commission (I just got one for the USS Missouri 1:200 scale for the Pearl Harbor Museum, due at the 75th anniversary of the surrender of Japan in Tokyo Harbor September 2, 1945; enclosed is one of the closeups of the 16" guns; more pics are on my website). I have been building commemorative and museum pieces for military use (retirement gifts, working with PTSD vets, etc.) for decades, but just getting into the miniatures scene the last year or so. So much to learn!
In the midst of lots of building projects, I have received more and more request to custom paint miniatures from friends and family (my kid gets all of his presents in painted Sigmar miniatures!)
Anyway, I think Gamer's Haven is the coolest place in town, and I am looking forward to getting involved in this community.
I don't know what the protocol is for touting your services, but my site is http://www.CustomModelsandMiniatures.com
I appreciate the helpful staff there who have got me up to speed painting Games Workshop figures. Lots of fun.
I like long walks on the beach, The Princess Bride, and Blanton's bourbon.
My name is Wes and I just moved into the Colorado Springs area. I used to play avidly, but stopped a while back. I'm trying to get back into gaming but have not been able to find any suitable groups. Currently, I'm working on several 6mm armies (Robotech RPG Tactics, Horizon Wars) as well as similar scale games such as Renegade Legion and Battletech.
I also have multiple 15mm armies (Hammers Slammers, Gruntz, Traveller/Striker) that I would like to put into play. Finally, I would like to get back into Napoleonics if possible, but I haven't seen that played for quite some time. We'll see if anything turns up while I'm here.
