Hi everyone!

I'm moving to COS in the beginning of August from Eagle River, AK and looking for a Warhammer Fantasy community to play with. I arrived today and will be in town until July 13 also if anyone wants to meet.

I have an amazing group of several friends that play 8th ed. and a couple others that prefer The Ninth Age. While I have played many games of AoS, I feel GW ripped the guts from the game.

If anyone is an old school gamer, or wants to have some massive scale, custom rules, siege or skirmish battles, Herohammer, End Times, Storm of Magic, Reign of Chaos, multiplayer, alliances, tactical, fluffy and immersive storyline campaign, or just good old battleline on a plain kind of WFB matches, I would gladly join or take point.

I have led 2 multi-scenario campaigns, one spanning 8 months and including 11 players, which were managed online. The second was scheduled and the campaign story was progressed through Facebook as the players maneuvered their chosen army around the known world to battle for relic fragments based on clues randomly acquired in an RPG style, won through combat or gifted for participation. It culminated in a $200 cash prize and small trophy. Super fun!

I have a complete Skaven Army over 15K, complete Empire over 14K, complete Bretonnia army (5th and up w/some 3-4) over 10K, Nurgle (mortal and daemon) with Chaos Undivided over 12K, Beastmen over 7K, Dark Elves over 6K, and a spattering of everything else. I really enjoy conversion work and have 5 gallons of bits acquired from 1989 to present as well as tons of Oldhammer and Oldhammer 40K to sell, trade or give away. I have made many scenic pieces and have all GW fantasy pieces (except the Fortified Manor QQ) prior to AoS.

I guess what I'm getting at is this has always been one of my top hobbies and will continue to be. I would much rather have a good time and lose a match than not and win. I will play AoS, but only if I haven't gotten my REAL Warhammer fix in a while and deem it the inferior of the two species.

Names Travis, moving here to run a company, this gives me flexibility in when I can get together and I'm empathic and open-minded.

Feel free to FB me at http://www.facebook.com/travismadden or call/text me at (907) 854-7264.

FOR THE LADY!

Beastmen, Bretonnia, Empire, Nurgle, Skaven. 8th ed. and The Ninth Age Warhammer Fantasy Player

Welcome. Not much active other than AoS fantasy going on here in Springs. I too feel a great sense of loss when it comes to WH Fantasy. You may still get some action here. I would love to play last edition or 9th Age as well as Kings of War. the last two would be learning games as I have not played them before. My main issue is time but that can be worked around.

By the way you don't happen to have any spare Beastmen Ungor Raider bow arms? See my post just before yours.

Hey Travis! I know this is an old thread, but I'm always willing to play 8th edition and was even considering doing a campaign. I've got Tomb Kings, Empire, Dwarfs and Ogre Kingdoms and I'm slowly building a Chaos army. Hopeful,y we can get a game in sometime!

Hey guys. I know his is still an old thread.

I have been slowing rebuilding some of the old 6th edition armies that I had created or had envisioned when I was younger.

I would be interested in getting back at it. Would be great to recreate some of the heroic glory of oldhammer!

I’ll keep an eye on this thread...

Hey there QuickDraw!

I am definitely down for some classic Warhammer. I started playing in 6th edition, so that would be climbing into the wayback machine for sure!

I definitely know that I want to do a spring/ summer campaign, so I hope you’d be up for it! I’ve been gathering a lot of the OOP sourcebooks and stuff and really want to run a Tamurkhan campaign from Forgeworld.

In fact, if anyone is reading this and wants to participate, I’d love to have you! No experience or minis required! I can loan out one of my armies for the duration of the campaign!

That sounds great! We should try to find a time to meet up and discuss some plans. I am still in a pretty early stage of acquiring miniatures but could really use some refreshers on the rules and gameplay.

I’m free most Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, or Saturday and Sunday.

Cool! I'll have to figure out when I'm free. Normall Thursday afternoons would work, but I'm out of town over the next three Thursdays! I may be able to make Saturday or Sunday work this weekend. I'll keep you posted!

Now that the holidays are past I would like to try to get after some oldhammer.

I have assembled and started painting my collection of tomb kings and could conceivably play a game, or at least work the cobwebs off of the rules with someone.

I could play up to 2000 points currently, keeping in mind that is using the 6th edition army book. That book was easy to source. The 8th edition army book is quite a bit harder to find at an acceptable price.

I do have both the 6th and 8th edition rulebooks.

Wow...I thought I had responded to this but decided to check today and sue enough, I had not!

Id love to get a game in with you to show you the rules! When would be a good time for that? I can let you borrow my 8th edition Tomb Kings army book.
