ALCON,

This post is a combination of sign up and discussion for the planned TY scenario game for this winter.  As of right now, I don't have a good date, since I'm still waiting to find out when the AETC exodus is and when I can take leave, but when I find out I will post it here.

With that out there and with a confirmed date for the release of Stripes, I wanted to see what the group wants to do for the game.  My initial plan was to run 3 WarPac forces vs 2 US and 1 'Canadian' (proxied West Germans).  But with Stripes releasing (in theory) before the late Dec-Early Jan game date, does the group want to run all of the Allied forces as US and try and get some of the new formations in, or stick with the original plan?  Please let me know your thoughts.

I will be Colorado Springs through most of December and would like to play as U.S. if you are playing then.

Bob,

I've got you down for the US.  Apparently the new forums don't have an edit button, and if there is one, I can't find it.  But I'll post an updated list periodically.

Anyone else have thoughts on the scenario or want to pick a side?  And don't worry if we go over 3 per side, there are enough forces involved that we can easily break up some for more players if it comes to that.

Update for the group to consider.  As of right not, winter exodus for the tech school is 22 Dec to 3 Jan, which means the only weekends I'll have will be 23-24 Dec and 30-31 Dec.

Which weekend would the gang rather have the TY game and the Raid game?  And do we want to make the one on the weekend of 23-24 Dec that Saturday (23 Dec) to avoid any conflicts with family stuff on the 24th?

Thoughts?

The only day I could play would be 23 December.  I need to know as soon as possible what troops you need me to bring. I fly to Colorado Springs on 2 December.

Apologies for the delay in responding.  We are scheduled for the 23rd with 2 table reserved for the game.  Robert, if you can, can you bring a US Mech Company (3 platoons if possible, 2 ok) with a couple ITV units and an Paladin battery if you have it?  That would greatly help out filling out the forces, but you are also free to bring more US stuff if you want.

As of last count, we are looking at 4-5.  Hoping to get 6 with the forces I have planned, but I have contingency plans if we have less than that.

We'll miss you Dave, just have to make up for it during the Raid game!  I've got some cool new units for that one this year.
